So..........whats going on?

So, I love drinking my coffee and reading all the blogs and facebooks BUT it seems like no one is blogging anymore???? That includes myself. WHY.........I know we all have alot going on and feel like we can't take the time to sit and blog but it is such a great thing.

For me I feel like no one is reading mine, I post and then I have people TELL me they read it but never comment. I think at least for me having the comments lets me know people are reading it.

So anyways on to blogging..........this Facebook thing is sooo great, you get to reconnect with people you have not seen or talked to in years. I did read a blog a couple months ago about how Facebook can hurt peoples feelings, I totally see how that can happen. You see peoples conversations and they have done this or that and you must feel left out. I have not had it happen to me YET but I'm sure it will.

Or you see someone on it that you never talked with but feel like you want to say "hi" but are afraid they will not respond back or something. It is all alittle silly if you ask me. I personally would like to talked to everyone, there is really no one I want to stay away from.

It is a great tool to reconnect and create friendships that might not have been if not for talking on Facebook, so for that I am glad. But I just don't want people to get away from blogging, I would be so sad if I could not sit down every morning and drink my coffee and read whats going on with everyone!

I have been making a mental list of all the things I wanted to get done this new year. There are big and small things to get done, but they are all very important. So I decided to blog them and check them daily to see my progress, and have others ask me how things are going to give me a kick in the pants! Happy New Year!!!!

Ok, so I stayed up on New Years eve alone to ring in the new year. Abe was still so sick that he fell asleep early. I made crab legs etc had a great, fun night planned. Well needless to say those plans went out the window. The kids were still sooo sick, Abby still had blisters in her mouth that were sooo painful, she crys constantly. Maddy now has them on her feet, will this ever end?

So I sat up till midnight and I have to tell you it would have been great to have Abe awake to share it with but, honestly it gave me time to cry and think and really look back at the year I would never be in again. I have said that at this time last year (2007-08) I was miserable pregnant, I had a amazing pregnancy with Abby, but with the twins it was miserable. I never had a problem admitting that but now I do. It makes me so sad that I was not able to look beyond the discomfort and pain and take it for the amazing thing it was. I HAD 2 HEALTHY BABIES. That by the way, did not want to leave their comfortable spots. I carried them 39 weeks.........ughhhh. Anyways I look at the joy they have brought me and how funny, adorable and healthy they are and I just want to cry again. Abby is so great as well she is so sweet and funny and loving to her brother and sister it warms my heart.

So I think this year I am going to try and STOP and appreciate everything GOOD and BAD and be thankful for it all. 10 years ago I would have told you Abe and we would not have a home with three beautiful children, I was so discouraged.

So with that said: I am so thankful for my kids, my husband, my family, my friends and my relationship with the Lord. I will try my best to appreciate all of them!!!!!!!!!!
